1. Introduction
Clipcro ("we", "us", or "the App") is a text snippet manager that helps you save, organize, and quickly copy text. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
By using Clipcro, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Content You Create
Stays on your device
The following content is created by you and stored exclusively on your device in an encrypted database. It is never sent to our servers.
- Notes and snippets — text content and titles you save
- Folders — names and colors you assign
- Tags — labels you create to organize notes
2.2 Clipboard Content
Stays on your device
Each time you open the App or bring it to the foreground, Clipcro reads the current text on your device's clipboard and saves it locally in your clipboard history.
This text is never transmitted externally.
You can clear your entire clipboard history at any time from: Settings → Clear Local Data
2.3 Usage Analytics
Sent to Google
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used in aggregate. The following anonymized events are logged:
| Event | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Note created | Source of creation, such as quick-create or editor, and note type |
| Note copied | Note type, source, whether the note was opened first |
| Search performed | Whether filters were used; whether a result was tapped |
| Sequential copy started/finished | Number of items; whether all were completed |
| Widget added/removed | No parameters |
| Time to copy | Duration in milliseconds and source screen |
Important: None of these events contain your note content, note titles, clipboard text, or any personally identifiable information.
Firebase Analytics also automatically collects:
- Device model
- OS version
- App version
- Language
- A randomly generated app instance ID
This is standard Firebase behavior. Firebase Privacy
2.4 Advertising
Sent to Google
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (GAID) to show relevant ads.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:
Device Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically detect and log app crashes.
When a crash occurs, non-personally identifiable information such as:
- Device model
- OS version
- Code stack trace
may be sent to Google to help us identify and fix bugs.
We also use Firebase Remote Config to manage app updates and configuration. This service checks your app version to ensure you are running a supported version of Clipcro.
